Working with Shore-Built Construction was an absolute pleasure. We underwent a total remodel of our kitchen plus two bathrooms, as well as installed new flooring and painted throughout our house while living in our home during the process. What could have been a chaotic three months was well managed by Shore-Built and their workers who exhibited the highest degree of respect and professionalism. Quite honestly, the work crews became part of our family. Even today, we still fondly reminisce about Mark, Jeff, Mike, and Aaron. Starting with the demolition work, we were amazed with the quality of that process. We were expecting sledgehammers smashing into counters and walls like you see on HGTV, and what we experienced was the most neat and orderly process imaginable. The Shore-Built workers take pride not only in their construction but take equally as much pride in their demolition. Once the remodel and construction started, we were amazed at the transformation. We thought that our kitchen had a small footprint and that we would be very limited on what could be done; we didn't even think that we would be able to have an island which we really wanted. However, to see the design that Ryan put together come to fruition totally exceeded our expectations. The kitchen still amazes us. Not only did we get our island, but it is the eye-catching centerpiece of the whole project. Finally, keeping the many logistics of this large project on track was Sue who guided us throughout the project and made us aware of key decision points and was always available for questions and consultation. As with any larger remodeling project, to say that things went 100% as planned would not be true. There were definitely surprises along the way when walls were opened up and sheet-rock was removed - some large, some small. But Shore-Built was able to adapt and modify plans to work with these new challenges to ensure that the finished product aligned with our vision. Bob LeClair was a skilled & reputable home builder- in the North Shore of Mass. since 1976 - where he met Sue. After Bob & Sue married, they moved their kids - daughter, Karissa and son, Ryan- to NH in search of a safe, quaint town to raise them. Shore-Built (previously LeClair Bros.) was incorporated in 1996 & spent the next decade building out subdivisions & remodeling homes.
As avid boaters, the Seacoast kept drawing this family there & ultimately fell in love with the beautiful Town of York. For the past two decades the LeClair family & Shore-Built have called York the home base for their cabinetry & building business.
Sadly, in 2016 the LeClairs & Shore-Built lost their beloved husband, dad, friend & fearless leader, Bob. His family felt a determination to continue his legacy through his son, Ryan. Ryan, Sue & the skilled Shore-Built team have honored his memory by growing the business & making many friends through the amazing Clients they meet.
Ryan had been learning at his dad's side since the age of eight & today serves as Vice President. Ryan capably handles everything from sales, to design, to general contracting & will be the familiar, friendly face on-site throughout your project.
As President, Sue manages the business including sales, employees, showroom, marketing and assists Clients as needed. Her highest priority is to always be a professional company offering cabinetry & building services with integrity & a personal touch.
The Shore-Built team, including employees and subcontractors (electricians, plumbers, carpenters, etc), has been working together for, on average ten years, some over 15 years & are considered part of the LeClair family.
